We hope you are looking forward to the Annual Meeting as much as we are! This year we will see much of the normality return with the rate of on-site attendance, and several novel features that will be initiated. For all information on the congress, please visit our dedicated website.
Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held during the Annual Meeting, on the 19th of May, 18:15-20:30 in Hall A of the Austria Centre Vienna. Several important topics from this years Strategy Day, which will impact future Societal procedures, will be discussed including potential changes to membership and voting rights. More details, including the agenda and supporting documents, will be available in the coming weeks.

Important Information for Members

ESPGHAN DOI Form Updates

As part of the 2022 Strategy Day, work has been ongoing to improve our transparency and to update our current Declaration of Interest (DOI) forms on the ESPGHAN website. As the updates are nearing completion, a separate mailing will be sent in the coming weeks with the new forms, and all active members will be asked to submit their declarations in the new format. This mailing will also include other updates from recent Strategy Day projects.

ESPGHAN Liaison Officer

We would like to update you on the Liaison Officer role, announced and opened for applications previously in 2022. After Council review upon close of the application process, Prof Sanja Kolacek was appointed to the position, with a start date of 1st of March. Important subjects have been identified and work has begun to address some of the most pressing issues in PGHN, including Medical Device availability, paediatric IBD drugs and other subjects to be addressed at the European policy making level.

Open Positions

Open positions for 2024 will be announced in June/July 2023. 

Voting for the 2023 open positions will be sent to all Full Members in good standing in the coming weeks, and the outcomes will be announced at the AGM in May.
