Our recent Newsletter confirmed the AGM date of Friday 19th May, 18:15-20:30 and societal updates will be included in the presentations to members. In the meantime, we will be sending a separate email in the coming days to update members on the DOI upgrade, ESPGHAN aims and missions proposals and the report from our external analysis that came from the 2022 Strategy Day.

Important Information for Members

ESPGHAN Medical Devices SurveyPaediatric medical device availability has become an increasing clinical problem across Europe. Novel EU regulations and Industry factors alike contribute to shortages in medical devices for daily practice. 

Our recent pilot survey showed that almostevery second participant encountered a problemaccessing medical devices, and the most common cause of shortages was a complicated new EU regulation. A report which outlines the current landscape and identified issues, including the survey results, can be read here.

To build a strong case for EU official bodies, we need your expertise. Therefore, we ask all ESPGHAN members to participate in this survey to collect data on the availability of paediatric medical devices, particularly the type(s) and manufacturer(s) of missing devices. Please access the survey using this link.
